Scott Treasure was practically born into the Alberta insurance industry on October 1st, 1974 as the first child to Randy and Joanne Treasure of Treasures Insurance in Edmonton. Growing up in the city’s west end, Scott was an avid reader, hockey player, and a particularly accident-prone youth (counting various broken arms and legs, a particularly smashed up nose, and a ruptured spleen among his more notable injuries). In 1997, Scott completed his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta, Faculty of Commerce, with distinction, and in the top five of his graduating class, and promptly took a position with Nortel Networks in their Major Account Sales Division, selling into Telus. After the merger of Telus and BC TEL in 1999, Scott and his new wife Cheri moved to Vancouver for a brief stint as a Nortel Account Manager, before eventually receiving an offer from Randy to move back to Edmonton and begin working at the family business. Scott started in the Treasures Insurance mailroom in 2001, and worked from there to his current position as an ownership partner and CEO. Scott has served on the Insurance Brokers Association of Alberta (IBAA) Executive as Vice President this past year and on the board of directors of the IBAA for the 3 years prior to that as a director at large. Scott will assume the Presidency of the IBAA during the 2012/2013 fiscal year. Politics is clearly a passion of Scott’s, as he is currently the Past President of the Edmonton Riverview PC Association, having served on the Riverview Constituency Board of Directors and Executive Committee over the last 9 years. Lastly, and most importantly, Scott and Cheri are proud parents of 5-year-old Jonah, 3-year-old Maxwell; and 11-month-old twins, Vivian and Henry.

Greg Michetti is founder and President of Michetti Information Solutions, Inc. (www.michetti.com) He is Vice Chairman of the Computer Network Advisory Board at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology and is Vice Chairman and member of the Board of Directors of the Edmonton and Area YMCA where he also serves on the Audit Committee.
